SIRTEF Srl was founded in 1976 by Mr Carlo Martucci, a serious, skilled and experienced, highly capable Professional that spent most of his working life in the field of lifting devices and steel wire ropes. Real Pioneer of the field, starting from the fifties he had been doing his job at one of the main companies of the the time, always improving his technical know-how. At the beginning of its activity SIRTEF saw its main development both in industrial hoisting and oil-dynamic products. This specific branch was then sold out in 1988 with the main view of focusing all SIRTEF energies and resources on industrial lifting products mainly based on steel wire ropes.
In 1982 SIRTEF’s Sister Company was opened in Rome and the first step of a complete, attentive and diffused covering of the whole Italian market began. Soon after that the exclusive contract signed with FAP Srl in Foligno started covering the distribution of Sirtef products in the Italian regions of Marche and Umbria. This work of covering all the market was finally completed in 2006
SIRTEF’s core product has always been and is still nowadays the steel wire rope and all the relevant products used for lifting that can be made with steel wire ropes, namely, steel wire rope slings and pennants with their various terminations, such as open or closed spelter sockets, swaged sockets, threaded terminals, as well as steel wire rope grommets, thus basically any products that can be used for lifting, anchoring or tightening is quite part of our production. Our main site in Calvignasco (Milan) together with the two Sister Companies in Udine and Rome can guarantee a big production capacity, offer a huge stock list of various types of steel wire ropes (more than 400 T) and a variety of lifting accessories and components, these products are all able to make SIRTEF be considered as one of the most important Companies of the field not only in Italy, but also in all Europe. An always growing reality that constantly is willing to achieve the same goal: “high quality and great competence for meeting all customers’ needs and satisfaction”. With this view constantly in mind and to be even constantly achieved, SIRTEF invested on important resources, got its ISO 9002 CERTIFICATION from RINA (Registro Navale Italiano) and today very proud of its 150-ton-capacity test bench SIRTEF can guarantee all its customers the possibility of making any kind of test on products when needed, pre-tensioning, proof-load and break tests, so both destructive and non-destructive ones with the supervision of Inspectors of the most famous Registers (RINA, ABS, DNV LLOYD’S). Educated Technicians are at your complete disposal for making tests of any kind.

In fact if you think about the evolution times of all the available scientific and mechanical systems you can realize that the methods for lifting are more or less the same as in the past, they have not been changed during years, just and only the manufacturing technologies related to them have been changed and during and after the Industrial Era many different technical systems are progressively made, and even in bigger sizes than in the past.
But in its essential nature any lifting technical device does work according to the principle of the fulcrum and lever. Without these applications humanity could not have got any means of carrying, buildings and industries that consequently have together contributed to the great evolution.
The main purpose of a modern industry acting in the lifting and hoisting field must be supplying only safe products, these ones being suitable to do a very old operation, this one being repeated for ages: moving, shifting a cargo (load) from x to y.
That image can seem a very obvious, clear and unmistakable image, but it is not like that indeed!
